HandsOffuses Apple’s built-in Screen Time (Family Controls) frameworks. When you grant Screen Time access and choose the apps to block, the App applies restrictions on your device. Your selections stay private — even HandsOff cannot see which apps you picked.
Open iOS Settings → Screen Time and make sure access is enabled for HandsOff. If you previously declined the permission, you can re-enable it in Settings → HandsOff. Restarting the app after granting access also helps.
Motion access lets the App detect when you place your phone face down so it can start a focus session automatically. This is processed on your device and never stored or shared. You can decline it and still use the App.
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. To view, change, or cancel, open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or use Settings → Subscriptions inside the App Store. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Open HandsOff, go to the paywall or settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
HandsOff stores your data on your device. Deleting the app removes it. To request deletion of any data held by our processors, email us at jmglabs.uy@gmail.com.
